Today's speakers, Nora and Don, spoke about the Literacy Council of Wake Cty. It began in 1972 and helps an average of 600 students per year. Boyd Bennett introduced us to today's guest speaker, Deane Teitelbaum. Dean taught history at Peekskill, NY High School. He related some little-known facts about how the Civil War ended in Raleigh. One came as our guest speaker for the day and the other came as our guest to receive a very appropriate Sevice Above Self award of a Paul Harris Fellowship.  View 
Our District 7710's DG Russell W. Duncan addressed the club on his Rotary lunch with DG Russell W. Duncan Sep 9, 2009 The Annual Official visit of our District Governor Russell Duncan took place today. DG Russell spoke with great enthusiasm and experience about our Rotary "Team".  View

Warner Hall just returned from 3 weeks of participation in a Rotary Friendship Exchange. He toured North Scotland's District 1010 clubs and brought back several banners to prove it. Senior Citizen Holiday Party Dec 14, 2007 For the 3rd consecutive year, club members contributed dozens and dozens of gifts for the day residents of the 2 Total Life Centers in the Raleigh area. We played music, sang carols and distributed gifts to grateful and cheerful residents!  View

Diabetic blood check Latino Health Fair Oct 20, 2007 Through the direction of Rotarian Rich Adelman, our club hosted 2 Health Fairs for Hispanics who have limited access to healthcare. Flu shots, blood pressure checks and diabetes screening are some of the services offered.  View 
Distributors poured wines for about 2000 guests. Triangle Uncorked Sep 29, 2007 Our annual wine & food festival has been wonderfully successful as wine distributors from across North Carolina pour the largest and most varied selection of wines for any tasting held in our area. Offerings from Australia, New Zealand, California, France, North Carolina, Chile, Oregon, and Washington State are poured. Live music and delicious food is also featured!  View 
Assembling new desks for the MATCH Room is no problem for us! Women's Prison - MATCH Room Renovation Sep 19, 2007 Club members partnered with 2 other clubs to renovate a special room at the NC Correctional Institution for Women where incarcerated Mothers are able to spend 3 hours monthly with their children.  View
