Thomas J. White spoke about his early years as head of Durham's Chamber of Commerce and then his move to NC State as its Director of Economic Development. Tom was to show a video but spoke the entire 30 minutes  keeping the club captivated with his knowledge and sense of humor. Thanks Tom! Viet Nam veteran John Loving as guest speaker Jul 14, 2010 Silver Star and 3 times decorated army officer,veteran John Loving spoke about his experiences and opinions regarding the Viet Nam War. An author of 2 books, Faith and Combat Advisor; John spoke of "6 lessons learned from the war". It is his hope that our country will learn from its mistakes.  View

Dr. Williams gave an excellent power-point slide show which he narrated. His dedication and committment to serving the needy Iraqi and Afghan women was evident. Dr. Randall Williams speaks to our club 3-10-2010 Mar 10, 2010 Dr. Randall Williams, OB/Gyn., spoke to us about his trip to Afghanistan. His visit to Afghanistan was to provide teaching assistance and medical care to needy Afghan women.  View

Today's speakers, Nora and Don, spoke about the Literacy Council of Wake Cty. It began in 1972 and helps an average of 600 students per year. Boyd Bennett introduced us to today's guest speaker, Deane Teitelbaum. Dean taught history at Peekskill, NY High School. He related some little-known facts about how the Civil War ended in Raleigh. Diabetic blood check Latino Health Fair Oct 20, 2007 Through the direction of Rotarian Rich Adelman, our club hosted 2 Health Fairs for Hispanics who have limited access to healthcare. Flu shots, blood pressure checks and diabetes screening are some of the services offered.  View 
Distributors poured wines for about 2000 guests. Triangle Uncorked Sep 29, 2007 Our annual wine & food festival has been wonderfully successful as wine distributors from across North Carolina pour the largest and most varied selection of wines for any tasting held in our area. Offerings from Australia, New Zealand, California, France, North Carolina, Chile, Oregon, and Washington State are poured. Live music and delicious food is also featured!  View 
Assembling new desks for the MATCH Room is no problem for us! Women's Prison - MATCH Room Renovation Sep 19, 2007 Club members partnered with 2 other clubs to renovate a special room at the NC Correctional Institution for Women where incarcerated Mothers are able to spend 3 hours monthly with their children.  View
